A New Leaf
Last December it hit me, that as much as I love shooting weddings and families, I need to do so much more. It was then I decided I would pair my love for writing with deep and meaningful art. I would bring my heart and soul to the table and dive into what my calling is an artist and forerunner.
The image above was my first double exposure. When I first saw it, I was kind of shocked and in love with this portrait of my husband, Zeb. As this was my first double, I was quite unsure of how it would turn out, but it ended up speaking to me in a meaningful way. It was taken right after we moved to Washington, the "evergreen" state. Zeb's favorite color is green and he loves the outdoors. Nature was one of the big reasons we moved to Washington, so this is "turning a new leaf." I felt it was a fitting image for my first post and the nature of what this blog is about.
