Hello!

Welcome to my online journal. I love to document my travels as well as express myself through analog photography, short films, and encaustic medium.

Encaustic Workshop Recap

Encaustic Workshop Recap

As a follow up from my previous post, I'd love to share some of the encaustics I worked on at the workshop. So many sent the most encouraging notes about following this dream and it's been such an educating and rewarding experience! I definitely want to take this exploration further. One might certainly tell, I was getting a true feel for the wax and experimenting in some crazy ways, but i do look forward to using a much simpler approach when creating encaustics in the future.

Leah was a wonderful teacher and it was so much fun to get my hands dirty. I'm definitely going to have to get used to the smell, but the whole art is so freeing. I can't wait to set up my own studio and play with it some more. One of my favorite things to do is zoom in on the images and see the textures of the wax up close. Clicking on the image should open them up in the lightbox. take a gander for yourself!

Some of these are available to purchase as prints. Head over to the prints & products page!
